The Cubs Game

Thank goodness for the beautiful weather on Saturday (May 17th), because it allowed us to take Morgan to her first Cubs game. It was sunny and 70 degrees at Wrigley Field. It helps that our seats are always in the sun, so we knew we would be warm throughout the entire game. Addyson kept asking Tim when he was going to take her to a game so we figured since we had the tickets, why not? She happened to see the giveaway on TV the day before, so she really couldn't wait to get to Wrigley and get her "Build A Bear" Cubs bear. She talked about it the whole 2 hours there. Traffic was pretty horrendous but we got there in time for both of the girls to get one. (The things you do for your children.....right?) They were both very good during the game and Addyson was cheering for Fukudome before the game even started and kept telling us that she wouldn't cry this time when everyone cheered. (I guess she remembers doing that at last year's game.) Addyson did well until the 8th inning but was insistent that she couldn't make it through the entire game. We left right before the 9th and they lost anyway, so we didn't miss anything. Overall, it was a great experience and hopefully in July they will be just as good when we take them back for another one.
